RAILWAY TRACK BED (CAPPING LAYER)

• The capping layer of railway track bed stabilised with Stabilig beneath the ballast  will be strong, resilient, and reliable, and capable of supporting trains with the heaviest axle loads operating.

• Capping layers stabilised with Stabilig will –

• maintain super elevation

• provide reliable, resilient support under points and crossings

• Stabilisation of rail track bed capping layers will improve rail track drainage.

RAILWAY STATIONS AND FREIGHT TERMINALS

• Stabilig is suitable for stabilisation of station and depot platforms, freight terminals and container transfer yards.

• In all of these situations, stabilisation of pavement bases with Stabilig will reduce cost of construction, maintenance, and repair.  Pavement reliability will be improved, and the risk of pavement cracking reduced.

• Stabilised pavements will withstand container forklifts.

• The risk of frost heave will be substantially reduced in pavements stabilised with Stabilig.
